What have I been doing?

Assalamualaikum wrb,

I've left the blog for too long. Didn't realise how time actually flies. Anyway, I've been busy with a few things this year..

I am now in the progress of doing my Master Project 1. I have decided to do on Extensive Reading which I hope would benefit my students as well as giving me more understanding about the reading process.

Yup, this is my Action Song team for Year 2013. They are the KSSR lot. Extremely active and they do have different characters compared to the KBSR lot. Alhamdulillah, we've got first at the zon level and will be competing at the district level this Saturday. Please pray for us. They have been practising so hard that now they have lost their voice.

In the midst of preparing the kids for the Action Song competition, we also have to prepare the document for Program Pengarah Turun Padang. So here are my mountains of works. The instruments and books are yet to be marked. I have spent my free time completing documents for the file and spent my afternoon training the kids. I have burned my midnight oil on my assignment that I don't know when to mark these books.

So that's roughly what's been happening in my life so far. I've been travelling back and forth to Kuching too to meet dearest hubby.

Do keep me in your prayers will you. Kind of need it now that I have started doing my master project.

2012 in a nutshell

Assalamualaikum wrb,

It's 11.17 p.m 31st December 2012. Stepping into 2013 in less than an hour. I've been thinking a lot about 2012. Let the pictures do the talking.

Allah has chosen us to be one of the visitors of Makkah and Madinah. 

 My besties. The three of us got married in the same year. Both of them in March and mine in November.

I got married to this wonderful man who is now in Lubok Antu and how I wish he is here right beside me.

Lil' fatih is growing up so fast and is now everyone's sweet heart. Your aunties and uncles heart you fatih. Hope you'll grow up becoming anak soleh.

After so many years, everyone managed to come back at the same time. So the happy moments were captured twice. First during Ramadhan. The second time on my wedding day. May all of us be the occupant of Jannah. Thank you mak and abah for raising us so well that we all become who we are today. 

Finally, yup this is him. Meet my other half. 

Thank you Allah, for blessing him into my life. 

I love you, abang.

 Hope this marriage will last till Jannah. 

I want to be your wife now and then. 

In a nutshell, 2012 has been quite a year. There were many ups and downs.

Life has been a roller coaster.

Nevertheless, I can't thank Allah enough for the blessings showered upon me this year. 

Hope that 2013 will be a better year for you and for me.

Hope we will become a better servant of Allah.

2012

I stepped into 2012 not knowing what Allah has set for me this year (but who does?) 2012 has given me lots of surprises which make this year the most happening of all. I call it the most happening because too many things 'happen' this year. There is another month to go before 2013 arrives yet, I am still anticipating what's next? Are there more surprises awaited me?

Early in the year, I expected the same old hectic life that 2011 had offered me. I thought life would be as it was. Firstly, my parents had made plan, to visit the Sacred Land of Makkah to perform umrah. Thus, a big chunk of money was put aside for the BIG adventure. We went in August and alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for giving me a chance to be one of the visitor of the Your holy land. 

But, Allah gave me another surprise. As I was grieving of something, a good friend (who is now my husband) back in Lubok Antu proposed. It was a mixture of feelings. He is my best friend, how can I marry my best friend? I was like, WHAT? Are you kidding me? After I few weeks cracking my head and asking around, I put my trust in Allah and finally accepted. So, now I have BIGGER things to plan. We got engaged on 3rd June 2012, one and a half month after he proposed and now planning for the wedding.

The road to the 12th November 2012 felt long. With the preparation, school work, assignments and many more I feel like collapsing. ok i lied, my sisters help with most of the preparation: they painted, clean the house... rearrange everything while I was busy coping with life outside. I could only help during school break and long weekends. But trust me juggling all these is not easy. 

But Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for blessing him into my life. Thank you Allah for supportive family who has never failed to help me through. 

Put my story aside, 2012 has lots other good news for my  of my good friends: Gg, lin and shiken got married this year. Siti Soraya Lin, my adik back in brissy, gave birth to a prince this year. So does my akhawat: Dayah and Yao, who gave birth this year too. Another good friend, got engaged 2 days ago. My roomie back in IPBA is giving birth today. 

All in all, thank you Allah, Alhamdulillah, syukran lillah. There have been to many blessings showered this year. Another month to go, will there be more surprises?

the countdown

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

2 days ago marked the fifth month of our engagement 

On this date today.. the countdown continues

The wedding is only one week ahead 

Mohon doa semua, semoga dipermudahkan dan berjalan lancar

The reasons of why I am still not nervous is I need to complete two BIG tasks

1. completing a 4000words assignment by thursday
2. completing the sppbs for my lil' ones

random post about school as when I re-read my stories in my first year of teaching, I realised that I have stopped sharing about my school experiences. 

so here it is (written in bm)

Antara perkara tahunan yang saya paling gemari sejak menjadi guru ialah

Perkhemahan Tahunan Sekolah

baru balik dari Gunung Ledang

Lenguh-lenguh kaki sebab mendaki 500m (je) 

Dari semalam asyik complain kaki lenguh-lenguh 

(sebenarnya baru sakit sikit tapi merengek kalah budak kecik)

tapi alhamdulillah sangat berbaloi sebab disambut oleh deruan air terjun yang dingin dan mendamaikan hati

tapi turun dengan banyak kali terpeleset dan terjatuh

Lebam2 kat kaki sebab terpeleset, terlanggar akar kayu dan 

kene himpit dengan si budak baik Haziq masa kat air terjun (sakit la kaki cikgu Haziq!)

tapi suke hati (^________^)

alhamdulillah. thank you Allah.

buzzing mind

zzzz.... zzzzz... zzzz

every time my mind gets busy thinking about many things i could hear buzzes in my mind. sometimes, it processed so hard that I get a 'mind'ache. Ok, 'mind'ache is not a good thing.

But, surprisingly, one of the courses that I am taking this semester has never failed to make my mind buzz (in a good way). It will buzz with excitement of the ideas introduced by our lecturer. It'll reflect on how I carry out my classroom practices. It'll try to imagine doing some of the activities that we do in class inside my own class. 

Today, we had 4.00 pm to 10.15pm lecture with PM Khairi. I was sleepy at at the beginning of the class (maybe because I was tired). However after I had some refreshment, my mind was awake and I was ready to listen to the 5 hours lecture. Oh, it was tiring. I drove back slowly as I was too tired to think of the highlights that I might get if I drive on the fast lane. I drove with the flow not bothering to speed back home.

But, it was a great lesson. I had a good time. Thank you prof. For all the great ideas. For making me reflect of what I have been doing in the last 3 years and 9 months.

It does make me sigh. Of my inability. Of my incompetency. Of the current classroom management especially in 2 Sri 3. (Double... triple sighs)..

Zzzz...Zzzz Zzzz...  (ok bukan bunyi tido.. its buzzing sound)

Now, 3 years later.. I think I have found the answer to these questions. And Alhamdulillah I am grateful for the answer of the hidden hikmah that I have been looking for.

And I am thankful to Allah for this (smiling from ear to ear).
